English 102 First Assignment

Hello there, who ever is reading this post.  This is my first blog page and first posting that I made in my life and excited about it!  Just for a little information, my English is second language so bare with my insufficient English.
Now the whole purpose of creating this blog is for my English 102 The Inquiry to the Understanding of The Apocalypse.  The teacher is Mr. Bevill and I am excited about this class.  I fell thankful for Mr. Bevill to give us a chance to create our own blog site so that I can have experience in blogging.
That was a brief information about myself and how I felt about the class I'm going to have for this term.  Now the main purpose of writing this post is to write a review of the optional reading books and those are "Uglies", "Libreation", "The Windup Girl" and "Boneshaker".  I personally prefer reading "The Windup Girl".  This story take place in 23rd century in Thai land.  Due to global warming, sea level increased and sunk the metropolitan that are place in lower land such as New York.  Also, there are contagious disease for the plants which will make the vegetable we eat inedible.  Thus several companies in the middle U.S.'s bio-company took over the marketplace of vegetable.  However, Thai land have protected from those contagious disease and created a new type of vegetable by controlling the DNA.  To search the secret of the Thai land, bio-comapany have sent an agent to search the detail.  That is the basic setting of this book.  The reasons why I chose this book as my favorite in the list is because every character will have a darkness in their mind, which is very interesting to me and there are a lot of corruption between different countries and the story is written in four different point of views or there are four different main characters in this book.  Also, I prefer science fiction books.
That is all and I would be happy if this information would encourage you to read this book even though there are 50 chapters and epilogue.  I am sure I would enjoys this class.
